May Youth News

I cannot believe it is already May! School is almost out and you have completed another school year of exams and projects!! I am proud of each and every one of you!

TRIENNIUM!! I need to know who will be going to Triennium this month. We will be working on getting paperwork in and money. PARENTS! Please Email me with your final decision by May 14 so I have two weeks to finish paperwork and get it mailed in by the deadline of May 28^th.

I am sorry that we had to postpone the “Dirty Jobs: fundraiser due to the rain, but we will reschedule it soon and keep you posted.

We will be helping Tyra with Slime Day on May 16^th from 3:00-5:00 so be prepared to get messy but also have a great time!

On May 30^th we will be planning a youth outing to Young’s Jersey Dairy to play some games and eat some incredible Ice Cream. We will plan to meet at the church by 4:30 and we will be back by 7:30. Please bring friends! PARENTS! I will need a driver or two so send me an Email if you can drive.

Spring Youth Group begins Sunday, January 13 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM
We will have food and play some games. Plan every Sunday after January 13th to join us from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. All 6th - 12th graders welcome!

We welcome Evyn Steinberger as our new Youth Director.
She will be working with our Middle and High School youth. Evyn has a B.A. degree from Malone College with a major in Youth Ministry. She is a native of Springfield and graduated from North High in 2005. In addition to Covenant, Evyn is also employed at Emmanuel Christian School in the Latchkey program and as an Associate at Bath and Body Works.

Evyn's interests include worship, swimming, working out, anything dealing with the Christmas season, coffee (with youth), reading and chocolate.

We are thrilled to have Evyn join our church staff!

Covenant families with children from birth through high school met last September with a cook out to kick off the new year. There were 46 in attendance including Evyn Steinberger, our new Youth Director, and Tyra Jackson, our Christian Education Director. The youth were able to meet Evyn and share ideas.
